Wind Energy Center

Windustry presents the Wind Energy Center
in The Eco Experience at the Minnesota State
Fair from August 25 - September 5, 2011.
Minnesota State Fair

The Wind Energy Center is an interactive, museum-quality display within the Eco Experience at the Minnesota State Fair, in partnership with the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency. Developed and presented by Windustry and parnters, it teaches hundreds of thousands of Minnesotans each year about our great wind resource and how wind energy can provide both environmental and economic benefits to Minnesotans. This will be the sixth year of the Wind Energy Center, and promises to be the best yet, inspiring visitors to actively support and participate in small, midsize, and large wind energy development in Minnesota.

Wind Turbine Bulk Buy

Find out how to take part in a small wind turbine bulk buy program with machines ranging from 2.4kW to 35kW for residential, business, and campus projects. Meet with wind energy experts at the Minnesota State Fair, ask questions, and get a copy of the Windustry Small Wind Guide.

This Region Nine Development Commission program provides training sessions, technical and logistical support, including wind resource evaluation, site selection, economic evaluation, turbine selection, and permitting; supported by a USDA Rural Business Enterprise Grant to further wind, and the economic development.
