Windustry seeks volunteers for the Minnesota State Fair Eco Experience exhibit

Windustry seeks volunteers to help staff the Eco Experience exhibit's Wind Energy Center during the Minnesota State Fair, Aug. 23 - Sept. 3, 2012.

The Eco Experience showcases cutting-edge environmentally friendly displays, products, and activities that are designed to encourage Minnesotans to live more sustainable lives and to improve the environment while enhancing quality of life.  The Wind Energy Center presents dynamic, engaging, and informative wind power related displays and activities that are designed for all ages.

Volunteers play a vital role in the Wind Energy Center's success. Serving as renewable energy ambassadors, volunteers help fairgoers interact with various activities and answer questions about wind energy. Volunteers receive a free fair ticket and Wind Energy Center T-shirt.  Also, volunteers are encouraged to attend a training session in order to review the basics of wind energy.

Windustry promotes progressive renewable energy solutions and empowers communities to develop wind energy as an environmentally sustainable, community-owned asset.  Through outreach, education, and advocacy, Windustry aims to remove barriers to broad community ownership of wind energy.
