Community Wind Progress in Montana and West Virgina

Windustry's Landowner Wind Energy Association (LWEA) Resource Center has reached milestones working with two communities in West Virginia and Montana, providing on-the-ground technical assistance, support and analysis needed to establish a successful community wind energy business.

Community Wind projects get a boost from Washington State

Washington State August 30, 2010 The State of Washington has awarded Cascade Community Wind Company (CCWC) one million dollars (30% grant 70% low interest loan) to help install up to eight community wind turbines before December 2011. According to CWCC, the funds will leverage approximately $10 million of private and federal funds.

Municipal Wind Power in Minnesota

The city of Chaska, Minnesota, will soon have an 80-foot-tall wind turbine generating clean, renewable electricity for local residents and businesses. The Pioneer Ridge Wind Turbine is just one of the eleven turbines that will be installed through the Hometown WindPower program created by the Minnesota Municipal Power Agency (MMPA).

South Central Kansas Regional Wind Energy Summit

South Dakota PUC Interconnection Workshop

The South Dakota Public Utilities Commission will host an interconnection workshop March 18-19, 2008, in Pierre. The workshop will be held at the Kings Inn Hotel and Conference Center, 110 E. Sioux Ave. This will be the first of several workshops designed to develop a statewide best practices model for connecting small generating facilities to the electric grid.

Nebraska Farmer's Union Convention
