The Great Lakes Regional Wind Energy Institute Annual Meeting was held on March 1-2, 2010 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Attendees heard presentations on a variety of topics, including: transmission planning and strategy for the great lakes region, wind project economics, renewable energy credit markets and state renewable portfolio standards, and challenges and opportunities in siting wind projects. Athens, OH - The Appalachian Regional Commission is sponsoring the New Energy. New Jobs. New Opportunities for Appalachia conference to share ideas and best practices on how communities can use their energy resources and emerging energy technologies and practices to diversify and strengthen their economies.

Dayton, OH - Wright State University hosts an Open House featuring Wright State University's new Renewable and Clean Energy Master's Degree Program in the College of Engineering and Computer Science.
