Video conference-Missouri DNR-Community and State Economic Impacts of Wind Energy Production
The launch of wind farms in northern Missouri in the past two years has left many Missourians wanting to know about the possibilities for wind power in their communities.
Beginning Wednesday (June 25) with a live, statewide videoconference, the Missouri Department of Natural Resources’ Energy Center is conducting public forums to discuss the state’s wind energy potential.
Advancing Wind Power in Illinois
Illinois State University will host the second annual Advancing Wind Power in Illinois conference June 25 and 26 at the Interstate Center.
An optional tour of Horizon Energy’s Twin Groves Wind Farm is available for the evening of June 25.
Community Wind Meeting-Scott City, KS
A Community Wind Meeting will be held at the Wm. Carpenter 4-H Bldg. in Scott City, on north US83 Hwy., at the Scott County Fairgrounds. As you get to the north end of Scott City, turn east at the golf course (Fairground Road) and you can’t miss it.
